Are we running away from this crisis and asking where is God? Or are we watching God work in this tragedy. Resting in instead of running away from. Do we see him in the chaos?
Hear me: people dying is horrific. This crisis is very real should not be ignored. Stay home, stay safe. In that staying home have you noticed differences?
A friend of mine Krystal posted this today:
TRAFFIC is gone, GAS is affordable,
BILLS extended.
KIDS are at home with their FAMILIES.
PARENTS are home taking care of their CHILDREN.
FAST FOOD has been replaced by HOME COOKED MEALS.
Hectic SCHEDULES replaced by NAPS, REST, and RELAXATION.
The AIR seems CLEANER.
The WORLD quieter.
PEOPLE are conscious about HYGIENE and HEALTH.
MONEY doesn't seem to make the WORLD GO ROUND anymore.
And WE now have TIME, finally,
to Just STOP.
And lastly, We’ve become closer to THE MOST HIGH & more evidently praising HIM every day of our lives.
The fear can rise though. Even in the midst of such a wealth of gifts as these, we can be fearful. We can be afraid that our way of life won’t come back. Or our loved ones will get sick. Or .. or... or.. we can just keep running scenarios of the worst possible outcome instead of listening to this promise from God: Read Psalm 91
So, where are you at? Are you in panic mode and giving in to anxiousness? Are running around trying to find toilet paper?
Or are you RESTING in what God is doing.
God is still working- Here’s more good news:
🔹Carnival Cruise line told Trump, “We can match those big Navy hospital ships with some fully staffed cruise ships.”
🔹GM & Ford said, “Hold our cars, watch this; we can make ventilators where we were making cars , by next week.”
🔹Construction companies said, “Here are some masks for the medical staff & doctors.”
🔹Restaurants & schools said, “We’ve got kitchens & staff; we can feed the kids.”
🔹NHL & NBA players are writing checks to pay the arena staff during postponed seasons.
🔹Churches are holding online services & taking care of their members & community.
🔹Women & children are making homemade masks & handing out snacks to truckers.
🔹Breweries are making sanitizer out of the left-over ingredients.
🔹We thought we couldn’t live without baseball, hockey, & NASCAR, or going to beaches, restaurants, or a bar.. Instead, we’re ordering take-out to help keep businesses alive and staying PRESENT with our families for a change.
This is more evidence that God is using this and turning this around for good. Romans 8:28 God works all things for good for those that love Him.
Yes it’s horrific that so many people have died and more will, but we MUST focus on how God is changing this, fighting for us and using this to guide us all, in a closer walk with what is really important.
Dear Lord,
I come to You today to ask for help. You are my everything. Lord, I need rest. I give You my worry. Take it, Lord. I accept Your peace, love, and understanding. Help me to turn to You and not to myself. Help me to stop doing and start trusting. Help me to wait on Your answers, because I know that they are good. Give me wisdom, hope, and peace. Thank you, Lord, for Your patience and grace. I love You, and I know You love me so much more than I could ever imagine.
